At the heart of the SmartSearch Catalog™ solutions are the SmartSearch Agents™, which work in conjunction with the SmartSearch Catalog application, searching for and extracting product information from multiple catalog sources - punchout sites, web sites, supplier networks, marketplaces; even your local catalog database, real-time, on command! No 3rd party software (like APIs or web services), proprietary protocols (like cXML Punchout or OCI Roundtrip), or local indices (like Level II Punchout) are required at the catalog source, thus deploying and maintaining catalogs is fast an painless for both buyers and suppliers! This is real-time search, just like Google, but with the incremental requirements of B2B such as price compliance and data syndication built-in.
