The following Vinimaya case studies profile the success stories from some of our customers.

Siemens_logo_smallSiemens Listens to “Voice of Customer” to Devise eProcurement Strategy
Siemens had been up and running in North America with an SAP SRM eProcurement platform for over two years, but procurement customers were expressing dissatisfaction with the available content in the system.  Vinimaya worked with Siemens to connect their corporate shoppers to rich, up-to-date content from preferred suppliers, and now 80 percent of Siemens’ catalogs are supplier-hosted web catalogs, with only 20 percent maintained locally.

Agilent_logo_smallAgilent Technologies:  Vinimaya’s Innovative Technology Provides a Low Maintenance Environment for Managing Catalogs
Agilent Technologies was looking to automate and simplify Indirect and MRO purchasing using the Oracle iProcurement system, but found catalog management time-consuming and costly.  Vinimaya helped to create a low-maintenance environment that provides Agilent’s global user base with single-point access to 73 (and growing) catalogs representing millions of SKUs and fully integrated with their Oracle eProcurement system.

Alcoa_logo_smallAlcoa Leverages its Suppliers’ Punchout Interfaces and Catalog Database without Incremental Software Development, Data Formatting or Connectivity
Alcoa was an early adopter of eProcurement, having initially implemented Ariba Buyer before migrating to Oracle iProcurement. For catalog management, Alcoa had tried it all, but was still struggling with cost, supplier enablement and user adoption issues.  Within three months of deploying a Vinimaya solution, Alcoa’s purchasing portal was available to users in North America, South America and Australia, with 350 e-catalogs available to users through a single user interface.

As Cricket grew into larger markets, the challenge was how best to improve compliance and capitalize on missed savings opportunities from their Oracle eProcurement system.  Supplier integration was a key issue.  Working with Vinimaya, Cricket was able to drive user adoption from 0 to 25 percent of all transactions in less than six months, drive 88 percent of indirect spending through punchout suppliers, and more.

DoE_CaseStudyDelivering Savings in Federal Government: Seven Independent Energy Facilities Consolidate Procurement Process with Vinimaya
A large, multi-division manufacturing organization came to Vinimaya with a collection of de-centralized Procurement processes and systems. Each of the seven facilities was using a different process, supplier community, and back-end system – including Ariba, PeopleSoft/Oracle, and SAP.  Vinimaya helped to create a single, online buying interface across all seven facilities with seamless integration with a variety of back-end systems to maintain each division’s business processes.

OSRAM SYLVANIA’s initial rollout of SAP’s Enterprise Buyer Professional was limited to three supplier catalogs with access to only 4 percent of their available products.  With Vinimaya’s help, they increased the number of fully integrated catalogs, improved order accuracy with pre-negotiated contract rates and supplier data, and reduced purchase order processing costs from $125 to $40 per transaction for more than 7,000 transactions per year.
