Vinimaya helps GSMA design and launch new commerce platform to extend beyond the physical world and connect telecommunications industry buyers and sellers in an online virtual marketplace.
CINCINNATI, Ohio – March 23, 2015 – The GSMA announced the launch of its new global GSMA Marketplace last week, an innovative online commerce platform that enables global telecom buyers and sellers to connect with each other. Vinimaya, Inc. was selected to design and build the GSMA Marketplace which is based on its proven procurement marketplace technologies.
The GSMA Marketplace was first demonstrated at the Mobile World Conference in Barcelona on March 5 and will benefit telecom buyers and sellers by allowing them to quickly and easily connect with each other through a global exchange. Buyers will have the ability to research and compare seller offerings in an open and transparent environment while sellers compete for their business. Sellers will have the ability to research sellers and their competitors to enhance their business offerings and marketing efforts, as well as instantly respond to RFPs with pricing, product specs and additional information.
The GSMA Marketplace will draw sellers of telecom products and services worldwide, including the 1,700 exhibitors at the 2015 Mobile World Congress. Once subscribed to the marketplace, sellers set up personalized “storefronts” to showcase their products. Buyers will search for wanted products and send request to sellers to initiate simple RFPs and larger procurement processes (RFx).
“The GSMA Marketplace creates a unified, global commerce platform that bridges the digital divide and acts as a catalyst for driving growth in the telecommunications industry,” said Vinimaya CEO John Hutchinson. “We are honored to collaborate with the GSMA on this visionary project and we look forward to working with them to extend the capabilities of the marketplace to create innovative new opportunities for its membership and the industry.”
As an interactive platform tailored and managed to the specific needs of the telecoms industry, the GSMA Marketplace will serve as a trusted connecting point for the highly-specialized needs of this growing global industry.
