Vinimaya Releases ViniSyndicate Version 3.1

Vinimaya Inc., a leading developer of intelligent agent and XML-based eBusiness software products, today announced the release of ViniSyndicate Supplier Integration System Version 3.1 - improving ViniSyndicate's unmatched capabilities helping buyers manage supplier catalogs.

ViniSyndicate is the world's only buy-side Supplier Integration System that uses Intelligent Agent Technology to extract dynamic, real-time product information directly from Suppliers' web sites as they exist today, without the need for "punchout" and other costly, invasive modifications. ViniSyndicate also removes the need for costly data transformation services as part of an eCatalog deployment and is designed to easily integrate with the leading eProcurement systems from Ariba, Oracle, SAP and others. ViniSyndicate makes eCatalogs faster, easier and cheaper to deploy and maintain.

Among the new features available in ViniSyndicate Version 3.1:

  1. Support for suppliers with web storefront configurators (e.g., Dell.com, Cisco Connection)

    Improved multi-tier searching and relevancy ranking
  2. Secure web site order delivery capability
  3. Improved support for custom-pricing, UNSPSC codes and other Buyer-specific attributes
  4. Improved eCatalog GUI and GUI customizer
  5. Oracle Application Server Compatibility (in addition to current BEA, IBM and Microsoft support)

ViniSyndicate is built in Java and XML, and is a J2EE compliant product. Version 4.0, which will include support for the major European languages, is currently scheduled for release in early Q1 2002.
