Vinimaya Inc., a leading developer of intelligent agent and XML-based B2B software, today announced B2B industry veteran Gary Hare as President & CEO of the company. Hare comes to Vinimaya from General Electric’s Global eXchange Services, which in February acquired TPN Register LLC, a company which Mr. Hare had co-founded and served as Vice President of Product Development and Strategy since 1997. Prior to that, Mr. Hare spent ten years at General Electric Company, holding various senior positions at both the corporate and business level. Previously, he was an information technology consultant and software engineer at Keane Inc., ADP and Bunker-Ramo Information Systems.
Vinimaya’s flagship product – ViniSyndicate– helps solve one of the most challenging issues facing large buying organizations in their B2B eCommerce initiatives, namely Supplier Enablement. An innovative, cost-effective solution based on “intelligent agent” technology and XML, ViniSyndicate enables buyers and sellers to integrate and manage eCommerce content without having to build expensive eCatalogs, manage multiple data format standards or support complex “punchout” integrations. ViniSyndicate’s “intelligent agents” retrieve content directly from suppliers’ web sites or existing eCommerce systems in real-time. This provides buyers with the most up-to-date information at all times, with minimal incremental maintenance costs.
Vinimaya also announced that Mahendra Vora, currently chairman and CEO of Intelliseek, has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors. Intelliseek is a collaborative partner with Vinimaya in the development of intelligent agent technologies. Vora is an experienced entrepreneur who has co-founded and successfully sold multiple technology companies to Fortune 500 firms over the last 10 years, and was instrumental in the founding of Vinimaya.
“Gary brings hard-to-find understanding and unparalleled experience in the B2B space and its pitfalls,” said Vora. “His knowledge and experience will allow us to properly apply our technical expertise toward making B2B easier, faster, simpler and less expensive, helping companies to realize the much-promised benefits of B2B and eProcurement technologies.”
“I’ve been involved in B2B eCommerce since the early 1990’s as both a user and a provider, starting with EDI and focusing during the last four years specifically on catalogs and content management,” said Hare. “I’ve seen first-hand the frustrations that companies are encountering. I’m very excited about Vinimaya’s ability to solve real problems that buyers and suppliers are facing.”
Former CEO Dr. Somesh Nigam has taken a position at Johnson & Johnson as a senior executive and will remain active with Vinimaya in an advisory capacity.
